The scenic water view is superb. This family friendly historical train journey takes you from the Ida Bay station to the silver Elliot’s beach though thick forest along water edge, all of you will enjoy the scenery, confront the bird life and friendly wild animals, just name a few, black swan, white sea eagles, wood ducks, kangaroo, Tasmania devil, and perhaps spot a seal or whale swimming alongside the shoreline, you could take this wonderful opportunity to relax and breathe.
There are a lot to see and do in the very private forest conjunction with the sea and beach. You choose to do bush walking track to Southport Lagoon and Southport Bluff where the King George III monument which commemorates the 134 lives lost in the sinking of the convict ship in 1835; you can also choose to keep relaxed and have a super BBQ with the superb scenic water view and follow up with activities on the silver beach or in the jade blue pristine water.
