  In 2012 we held an open day organised by Meg and staff and encorporating the members of the Friends of Ida Bay Historical Society ,A volunteer group assisting the sustainability of this most famous historical railway.
  We were greatly supported by the members for Franklin.
  Here driver Tony with local member David O’Byrne. David whilst a member of Franklin was very supportive of the Ida Bay Railway.
  David is now again a member for Franklin and we are looking forward to his support in the future as the railway plans for a sustainable future on this State Owned Site via Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife.
